About THREAD
THREAD is:
Jesse Macom-Teague, Vocals
Jesse started singing in church and performing on
stage when he was 5 years old. By middle school, Jesse
was already participating in competitive singing, and was an all state
vocalist during high school. Jesse also sang in the Camp Lejuene Marine Corps
Glee Club while serving in the Corps. When he returned, he spent three years in a local band.
Later, after the band broke up, a meeting with Mark brought Jesse to the group, Thread.
Baus, Guitars, Vocals
Mark first played guitar in his father’s 50′s and 60′s band from age 8 until12 or 13, then played 70′s rock until about 15. After more experience playing various gigs till age 18, Mark started a band called L – 88, this group toured and ended up on 2 compilation records, “Little Rocks Rocks Vol. 1 and 2. From there, Mark played in several other bands, including Taylormade and Jet 420. More working and more playing in various groups, led to forming his own band, called ”Disturbing The Peace.” From there, Mark spent some time working for a production company before forming Thread.
Rocco Blake, Drums
Rocco Blake has been a drum instructor for 27 years. He is a professional studio and
performance drummer for all styles of music. In the 1980’s, Rocco played with
acts like as “The Pages” now known as “Mister Mister.” In 1988, he toured with Joe
Cocker, and played with a band named “Cloud of Witnesses” from Los Angeles, CA.
Rocco has a large repertoire of studio recordings. After relocating to Arkansas, Rocco has
played in “PG-13 THE BAND,” and “Category 5,” both Top 40 Classic Rock bands.
He is currently performing with two bands “White Chocolate” a dance and party band; and his primary band “THREAD” an alternative rock band. THREAD is currently negotiating a record contract with Infrared Records and can be heard on Big Rock 93.3 and The Edge 100.3.
David Drennan, Bass
David Drennan wrote his first song at the age of 10 and has been writing songs ever since. He took two years of piano lessons as a child, and then taught himself to play the guitar at age 16, and eventually took up the bass guitar as his main instrument in 1987. Since then he has played in various bands in the Little Rock area. He met drummer Rocco Blake in 1995 and they began playing together, immediately forming a unique Bass player/Drummer bond that is evident in their playing technique. He joined Thread along with Rocco in the fall of 2010. David, his wife Teri, and their two children reside in Ferndale, Ar.
